Police Searching for Hit-and-Run Driver on East Freeway
Police are still on the hunt for a reckless driver who sideswiped a pickup in a fatal hit-and-run wreck in early August.
According to a story that appeared on the Chron.com website, the victim in a fatal crash that happened on August 3rd. had been driving southbound in the 3200 block of East Freeway when their vehicle was struck the right side of their Toyota Tacoma by the suspect’s vehicle.
The force of impact sent the victim’s pickup truck into a highway divider and causing the crash. The accident is reported to have occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m… Emergency crews rushed the victim to the hospital to the hospital with serious injuries. The victim later died as a result of the injuries that he sustained in the crash.
The suspect who caused the fatal wreck fled the scene of the accident. Investigators believe that it may be likely that there were witnesses to the fatal crash who may be able to provide clues and are offering a reward for any information that will lead to an arrest in the case.
