Driver Flees from Police Chase, Still At-Large
When a police find a stolen car they will do everything they can to recover it and question the driver. Often a police chase ensues. Whenever there is a police chase, the public is at risk for being hurt. Here’s an example of this from the Houston Chronicle.
Police found a stolen car near the North Freeway and tried to pull the driver over. The driver refused to do so. It was a little after midnight when the chase began. During the chase, the driver did hit another vehicle, though did not cause any damage to the people inside. What finally stopped the driver was a fire hydrant at Ella Boulevard and Kuykendahl Road.
Unfortunately for the police, the man ran off and hid in an apartment complex. Despite the use of helicopters, the man has evaded capture and is still at large.
Thankfully no one was injured in this crash, but there was still extensive property damage. We hope that the other car that was struck will have their car repairs covered. If not, they need to speak with a personal injury attorney to get the compensation they need.
