Houston Car Hits Tree
A Mazda RX-8 slammed into a tree in an early-morning crash near Webster sending two people to the hospital on Tuesday. According to the Houston Police Department, the car was travelling eastbound on El Dorado Boulevard. The male driver lost control and struck a curb near Zabolio Drive. The car then careened off the road, eventually striking a tree. The female passenger who was riding in the vehicle was pinned under the dashboard. Firefighters were called to the scene to extract her from the wreckage. Both the driver and the passenger were sent to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Authorities have not stated whether alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
