Houston METRO Bus Crashes Into Home

 

When at home relaxing, possibly the last thing on anyone’s mind would be getting involved in a serious accident. Unfortunately, however, for one homeowner, a very serious accident crashed into a home in South Houston on Sunday night leaving multiple people on board the bus injured.

In a story that appeared on Houston’s Chron.com website, A Houston METRO bus crashed into a home located in the 7200 block of Tierwester.

According to Houston Police Department investigators, the accident happened at approximately 7:30 p.m. when a vehicle ran a stop sign at the intersection of Tierwester Street and Corder Street. The bus driver swerved in an effort to avoid an accident and hit a home in Tierwester instead. The bus, carrying three passengers was lodged inside the structure. Investigators say that fortunately, the home was vacant at the time of the crash.

The three passengers along with the bus driver were taken to the hospital. The passengers were treated and are listed in stable condition while the bus driver is currently listed in serious condition.

Police have not yet found the driver who caused the accident.
