One dead and one injured in complicated accident

One woman has been killed while the passenger in her vehicle was hospitalized following a crash in northwest Harris County.  According to Harris County Sheriff’s office officials, the victim, Kathy Vo, was driving her Infiniti G37 in the 125100 block of West Little York Road around 2:00 a.m. when she lost control of her vehicle. Where the road curved, Vo drove her car off the north side of the road. The Infinity ended up is a roadside ditch and struck a utility pole, deputies said. The vehicle then continued west across a gravel driveway and entered the roadside ditch a second time and hitting another utility pole. The vehicle then struck a concrete driveway and landed on its roof in water-filled ditch. Because the ditch was full of water, it caused flooding in part of the passenger compartment. Another driver came on the accident and stopped to render aid to the accident victims. The passerby broke out the back left window and was able to open the door enough to help the passenger, Harry Nguyen, exit the vehicle. In a statement, Harris County deputies said that Vo had sustained fatal injuries during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The passenger, Nguyen, was transported to Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center with minor injuries. The accident is currently under investigation.
