Teen Driver Impacts a Tree, One Dead
A teen has been killed and another hospitalized after a car accident Sunday morning in East Harris County in Channelview. According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at approximately 7:00 a.m. on Sunday morning when a Honda Civic was speeding on Woodforest Boulevard. The vehicle struck a curb and lost control near Canna Street sending the car through a stop sign. It came to a stop after it impacted with a tree. The driver of the Civic, a 19-year-old, was transported to Ben Taub Hospital. Their current condition is unknown. The 18-year-old passenger who was also in the vehicle died at the scene of the crash. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation and the names of the victims have not been released. When it comes to safe driving, sometimes age and experience can make a real difference.
