Truck Hits Bus, Kills Four
A tractor trailer lost control and traveled over eight hundred feet across a median before hitting a bus from North Central Texas College. The passengers on the bus were the members of the school’s softball team, the Lady Lions. They were traveling in Oklahoma with fifteen members of the team on board when the accident occurred. Four players were killed in the accident. The driver of the eighteen wheeler admitted to being distracted by something in the cab of the truck just before the incident. Investigators have determined that no attempt to brake happened, also no evasive driving occurred prior to the collision. No charges are pending at this time.
