Another Fatal Crash on the Die-Way 90

Today, we learned about a crash that killed two young brothers.  Our thoughts and prayers are with Laura and Raymond today as they mourn the loss of their children, Brian and Andrew.  Carelessness and teenage hubris were apparently the cause of the accident.

It was a normal traffic day on Beaumont Highway.  Right around Prince Road, 19-year-old was attempting to pass another vehicle.  That young driver’s vehicle rammed directly into the SUV that the kids were inside.

Laura and Raymond are devastated.  “I wish could spend another day with them.  Life is just too short.  People don’t realize it,” says Raymond.

A friend of the family speaks about the crash, “A black car went in and around all the cars and I remember thinking that’s why they call this Die-way 90.  Her kids are her life.  I’m not kidding.  How do you survive that?”

Laura’s got a long road to recovery, as she’s expected to spend months with her two broken arms and broken legs.  Each twinge of pain will be a reminder to her that her children are gone.

The driver of the vehicle that crashed into them also suffered serious injuries and is recovering in the hospital.   These kids were model children, one a straight-A student, one a dynamic soccer player.
