Construction Worker Killed in Hit and Run Accident
A man has been arrested in connection with a hit and run accident that killed a construction worker on West Hardy Road on Monday.
According to Houston Police, the fatal crash happened near Greens Road at about 1:45 p.m. when Timothy Dean, 34, allegedly drove into a construction site and hit Estanisloa Romero, 71.
The suspect, identified as Timothy Dean, 34, brought his Chrysler to a stop in a nearby parking lot on Greens Road. Police arrested Dean on the charge of intoxication manslaughter.
Romero was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The charge of intoxication manslaughter, this is an extremely serious crime and it is a second-degree felony punishable by loss of license, loss of insurance, along with a fine of up to $10,000 and a prison sentence of between 2 and 20 years.
