Excessive Speed Results in Fatality
A motorcyclist has died after what witnesses describe a motorcycle traveling at extremely high speeds. According to investigators, the motorcycle may have possibly reached speeds in excess of 100 mph, before the accident. Authorities report the accident occurred around 9 p.m. at the intersection of E. Little York Road and O’Donnell Street. A white pickup truck that was turning left onto O’Donnell Street was struck in the side by the motorcycle. The force of the impact caused the truck to spin a full three hundred and sixty degrees. Neither the driver of the pickup truck or his son, who was the passenger at the time were injured in the crash. The 29-year old male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not, as of yet, released the name of the crash victim.
