Investigators Search For Driver In Fatal Hit And Run
For anyone who is involved in an accident and knows they are at fault, the temptation to flee the scene can be overwhelming. As humans, it is a natural instinct to either fight or fly. Following instinct, however, is not the best course of action. The truth is that once someone is caught after having run away from an accident, it only makes matters much worse.
According to a story appearing on the Houston Chronicle website, leaving the scene of a fatal crash is exactly what someone did last Wednesday morning in Cyprus.
Authorities say that a female pedestrian was struck and killed by an unidentified vehicle as she was walking in the 20000 block of FM 529.
Harris County Sheriff, Ed Gonzalez said in a statement which went out via Twitter at approximately 7: 30 a.m. that the woman died at the scene of the crash. Authorities have not released the identity of the victim, pending notification of family members.
Investigators are still searching for the vehicle and driver that is responsible for the fatal crash. No additional information has been released at this time.
We at Houston Accident Attorneys hope that the responsible driver is found and brought to justice. If you have any information, please pass it on to the police.
