Man Dies in Trailer Fire
An early morning fire on Saturday has claimed the life of a man in a mobile home fire in South Central Houston. According to official reports, Houston Fire Department firefighters responded just after midnight. Rescuers found three people inside, a man, a woman, and a 12-year-old child. The young girl, who was the daughter of the man, and the woman were able to escape safely from the fire; however officials say that the man, identified as 75-year-old Robert Martin, did not escape and died inside the mobile home. Paramedics treated the woman, Martin’s girlfriend, at the scene of the fire. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Although arson is not suspected as a cause, it has not been entirely ruled out. Fires can cause serious destruction of property, serious injury and loss of life.
