One Dead, One Injured in Tanker Truck Crash
after their vehicle slammed into the back of a tanker truck in southwest Houston early Monday morning.
According to the Houston Police Department, a male driver, whose name has not yet been released, rear-ended a small tanker truck just after 1:00 a.m. on S. Post Oak near Allum located just south of Highway 90. The traffic light had just turned from red to green, and the truck was moving slowly when the fatal crash occurred.
Investigators say that the driver of the black Honda Civic died at the scene of the two-vehicle crash. The passenger in the vehicle, whose name has also been withheld by investigators, was transported to the hospital where they were being treated for their injuries.
