Shop Fire Sends Four to the Hospital

Lee CannonOfficials report that there was a flash fire at the Shoup plant on McKinzie Road on Tuesday. The plant, which is a part of Enterprise Products Operating LP, was reported as having a fire around 1 p.m. according to 911 call logs. Capt. James Brown, who is a spokesman for Corpus Christi Fire Department, reports that four people were injured in the flash fire. The victims suffered first and second degree burns to the body in the region of the upper torso. According to Capt. Brown the injured individuals were transported to Christus Spohn Hospital Memorial for treatment of their injuries. Authorities report that the fire did no damage to the facility before it was brought under control.
