Woman Dies in Wrong-Way Crash in Fort Bend County

cabeludocppaAn unidentified  woman has died in a wrong-way collision in Fort Bend County that resulted in a hazmat spill on Highway 59. According to the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 3:00 a.m., a woman, whose name has not yet been released, was driving Mitsubishi Eclipse  northbound in the southbound lanes of Highway 59 and was killed after she drove into a dump truck. The dump truck flipped over as a result of the crash and spilled its contents across the highway creating a hazmat incident. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, the driver of the dump truck appeared to be uninjured. Difficulties can arise at any time for any person when operating a vehicle.
