A crash that happened early this morning on the North Freeway in which the driver wasn’t wearing his seatbelt. It cost that person his life. Chron.com reported on its website that the deadly crash involved an 18-wheel semi-tractor trailer rig that had been traveling southbound on Interstate 45 at approximately 4:00 a.m. when the big rig inexplicably left the roadway and crashed into a tree.

The force of impact of the 18-wheeler hitting the tree split the cab of the big rig, and the driver was ejected. Investigators at the scene say that the truck driver had not been wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
