Man Killed in Wreck in Conroe
A man has died in a head-on collision in the Conroe area and a 16-year-old has been injured.
Authorities with the Department of Public Safety Troopers say that the accident happened on FM 2432 on a curve in the road. Investigations reveal that the teen driver lost control of his vehicle and went into the path of oncoming traffic and into the vehicle of a 32-year-old male driver.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. His name has not been released by authorities pending notification of his family. The teen driver, also not identified, was rushed to an area hospital.
The cause of the crash is still currently under investigation and it is unknown whether alcohol or distracted driving may have had a role in the accident.
When drivers choose to drive distracted or drive under the influence of alcohol they pose a definite danger to other drivers on the road. The results can often prove deadly not only to themselves but others as well. Such drivers can cause accidents that result in serious injuries or tragic fatalities.
