Multi-Vehicle Accident on North Freeway Leaves 3 People Injured
An automobile accident that happened on Friday night near midnight on the North Freeway began a chain reaction of vehicle collisions that could have sent several people to the hospital. The first accident happened near the southbound entrance ramp of Cypress Wood Drive when a driver crashed his automobile. That driver transported by EMS crews to a local hospital with non-fatal injuries. Approximately 30 minutes later the driver of an orange Camaro then stalled on the entrance ramp. As the driver was attempting to push his vehicle away from the ramp, a maroon colored automobile came up the same ramp and slammed into the back of the Camaro, hitting the walking driver. He, along with the driver of the car that had hit him, was also transported to a local hospital for injuries. Within 45 minutes of that accident, three more accidents were observed in the same location, neither of which were bad enough to cause injuries to either drivers or passengers. However, the series of incidents kept the freeway closed for several hours. Driving conditions can be taxing, but excessive speeds and irresponsible drivers can only further increase dangers as people try to make their way to work and conduct the business of daily life. When accidents happen it can leave people injured, unable to work or even result in tragic loss of life.
