Speeding SUV Narrowly Misses Person Sleeping in their Apartment

A sleeping Houston resident is fortunate to be alive after a driver of an SUV crashed their vehicle into their apartment bedroom early Saturday morning. In a released by the Houston Police Department, the driver of an SUV lost control of their vehicle and crashed into an apartment located just off West Sam Houston Parkway near Bissonnet at approximately 2:00 a.m. Saturday. The SUV went through the residence and ended up in the bedroom where the apartment’s resident had been sleeping. The resident of the demolished apartment ended up with just a few cuts and was treated at the scene of the crash. HPD officers say that alcohol did not play a factor in the accident; however, the driver was issued a citation for failure to control speed. An accident can happen at any time.
