Driver Slams Into Disabled Vehicle

A crash involving a disabled vehicle on the Southwest Freeway sent two people to the hospital early Sunday Morning.

According to a story that appeared at the Houston Chronicle, the accident occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. when the driver of a Dodge Charger slammed into a disabled Toyota that had broken down in the far right lane of the Southwest Freeway near Timmons.

Emergency crews arrived on the scene of the crash and were able to free two people from inside the smashed Toyota. The two unidentified accident victims were rushed to an area hospital for treatment. So far their conditions have not been released.

The driver of the Dodge Charger was not injured in the accident. Law enforcement authorities have not stated whether or not charges will be filed against the driver.

Whenever you’ve been in an auto accident, it’s a good idea to consult with an attorney. In a case such as this one and even when charges are not filed against the driver who caused injury or damage, you still have legal rights that need to be protected. Charges may still be filed after investigators examine the case more thoroughly and by law in the state of Texas, you are entitled to receive compensation for damages or injuries that happened through no fault of your own.
